dull immortal flowers

August 23, 2011

eyed quiet
and night
guess
thin
But
in
sleep the breath generations
sing
of
musk pains quiet

eyes opiate
are like
The
quite
musk
in
flies the embalmed generations
with
opiate
lustrous this fever

eyes Adieu
amid minute
Fled
this
dull
immortal
flowers the dream generations
listen
on
numbness voice deceiving

Aug 21-22, 2011, constrained unigram selections with eDiastic (random order, vowels and approximants only), source text: Keats “Ode to a Nightingale”, seed text: three iterations of the Biggie Smalls line, “Dying ain’t the shit but it’s pleasant, kind of quiet,” from “My Downfall”

I hadn’t used eDiastic in a while, and it seemed most appropriate for this line I wanted to work with. I used eDiastic interactively, swapping lines between several stanzas (though the final version is still a “legitimate” diastic reading.)
