Gnoetry Daily compilation chapbook Release Candidate 1

October 25, 2011

Behold the first “ready for release” candidate for the Gnoetry Daily compilation: here in pdf.

I downloaded the .odf, then copied the text one page at a time and pasted it as “text only” into a new OpenOffice .odf and reformatted it – basically because the combination of wordpress-scraping and Google Docs gave everything a big mess of formattings. I did my best to reproduce the formatting that y’all added, though.

I tried to lay it out and set the margins such that it looks good printed out either 2 pages per sheet, 1 page per sheet, or double-sided “booklet” format. So that’s why there are a couple blank pages at the end of an author’s section. (so the next author section doesn’t start hidden on an even page). You’re welcome to try printing it out – my printer’s currently bust unfortunately.

Anyway, if there’s anything you want me to change, just let me know! I’ll probably post the next release candidate next week.

Looks great to me, too, and double-up on the kudos–really appreciate your getting this together. Perhaps we can consider trying to find a print publisher for it at some point…?

Two small things. Page 12 looks blank. Page four should have a footnote: “Texts analysed by Gnoetry0.2: various Cuba diplomatic cables”

What’s the advantage of this? Just curious… Is there really a big market for poetry books?

OK, added that for the next release candidate, thanks for the feedback!
